Don’t waste your time,
The whole purpose of purchasing this unit (I purchased the purple one) was to have something small and portable that would allow me to listen to my iPad’s and my phone’s music and podcasts throughout the house if I was cleaning, etc. This unit gave horrible sound. I would have to hold the jack into the headset hole at just the right angle in order to hear anything (tried on multiple devices — same problem). If I would move my hand, sound would either go out completely or it would lose bass, treble, etc. Bottom line, this unit may be cheap (pf $19 @ Walmart), but cheap doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work. It’s going back to the store.

|Disappointed.,
I bought this thinking that, like other iHome portable speakers I’ve owned in the past, I’d be able to plug it in with the appropriate adapter. WRONG. there is no such option. Running it off of batteries sounds OK for about fifteen minutes, then the sound goes down the toilet as the batteries lose juice. I can’t return it, either… I threw away the package. So now I’m stuck with this useless item… Normally I like iHome, but this was a huge disappointment.
Update:
It only worked twice.
The second time I tried to use it, it took about two minutes for the thing to register that it was on. The third time, it didn’t turn on at all. I’ve tried replacing the batteries, but to no avail.
Let me clarify that I do like iHome products immensely, but this one is a waste of time. Please choose another one of their products before picking this one.

|Good quality for a good price!,
Several people seem to be unhappy about this product and I’m not sure why. I bought this item at Walmart and have been SO pleased with it! The sound is great for a little device, it’s portable (can fit in my bag) and it lasts really well! I play my music all night long for me to sleep at night with no problems. It does NOT charge the ipod so invest in a wall charger. I wish the audio cord was a bit longer, but I can deal with the length. Invest in some rechargeable batteries and you’re good to go! You can also take this in the car too. =) Definitely love it!
